I would like my users to be able to create their own passwords when they register. I can't seem to find where this option is available. Currently, there is no where to enter a password during registartion and the system is assigning crazy passwords no one will ever remember.
Ideas????
Thanks!

Once they log in with the auto-generated password, they can change their passwords to whatever they wish.

It is done that way on purpose as a security measure to ensure that the person who asked for the account is the same person that replies to the e-mail and authenticates to the board.
Then when they login with that crazy password they can go into their PROFILE under "My Stuff" drop-down link and change the password to what ever they want within reason.

oops. little wrong as you have classic but similar idea. The user has to go into their profile and change their password if they so desire.

If you turn off email verification users can set their own password upon registering; however this is a spam feature that I don't recommend you use...
It's best to leave email verification on as to force them to recieve their email and update their password, as you ensure the email address works.
