I am currently running 7.0.2. Can I upgrade straight to 7.1 Beta 5, or do I need to upgrade to 7.1 Beta 4 first, then 5?

No - you can go straight to b5 - just make sure you run the upgrade script.

Don't forget to clear your cache and if you have ANY customization in your .CSS Style sheets then you need to think about that as they will need tweaks again as there are new features that the older Style sheets did not have entries for.

Ok, I did the upgrade, but the #new topics/posts are not showing up. I configured the new css items in teh styles section. Was I supposed to upload style sheets also? (I read not to do this unless specifically asked to and I don't recall being asked to). So why are my new topics/posts, etc., not showing up?

Thanks,
Basil

You should not upload the stylesheets directory.

I'm unsure however why they woouldn't load, short of a caching issue...

I just cleared my cahce again to be sure. It now appears that when I'm looking at a thread list (i.e., in a forum), I see the number of new replies in parens(2), but, when I am at the forum list page looking at my list of forums, I do not see any such numbers.
