I have tried to use the manage topic button on two different machines with IE7, IE6 & Firefox and all of them just get stuck waiting for a response from the site whenever I use either the unstick topic or remove from global announcement commands (under Manage Topic).

Basically, the web browser just gets stuck on the page load event.

Just to refresh your memory:
Windows 2000 server

I was able to manually do this.

I searched in the posts table for the post_id record that matched the number in the post and I looked up the topic_ID.

I then went into the row for this topic and set the sticky status to 0.

Finally I went into the announcements table and removed the entry for this topic.

I hope this is the right way to manually do this, it seems to have done what I wanted with out throwing any errors on the site.

Wish I could do this on the webpage though with a quick click.

Yep, that fixed it! Can't believe we didn't catch this during the beta. Oh well, probably need to change the release code ASAP.
