Sounds like your cgi-bin/vars_display.cgi file is either blank or currupted.

It's an old bug: In cp2_vars.cgi Find the following line and remove it vars_display::showcopytype

lol, a good rule of thumb is: All .cgi files are in the cgi directory. All .pl files are in the templates directory in the non-cgi directory.
