How do I enable custom titles? I mean it seems straight forward, but when I enter a custom title it does not show. All of my members are listed as "Member" which is the default title once they register (meaning 0 posts qualifies them for that title). But I have several that I need to set custom title for and can't. For instance I would like to be listed as "Administrator" instead of "Member" so people will know my role.
I thought this was a bug fixed in 7.1.1, but I have upgrade to that version and still can't get the custom titles to work. Is there some step I am missing?
Thanks, Winter

OK, I figured this out. All previous post just show the title Member, but any new posts show the custom title. So apparently the custom title setting does not propagate to any of the users previous posts...only to new posts. So I guess I am sort of ok...but it would be nice to update all the old posts with the correct title as well. winter

Hmm, that shouldn't be the case. The title and custom title is pulled dynamically when the post is being displayed, so even old posts should show the current "post based" title and also the custom title.

Yes, you are right Rick. Except when I view my private messages...then the new titles do not show up. But they are showing correctly on the main pages of my forum so I am happy! Thanks! winter

Ahh, that might be something I need to address. I may not have added the custom title code to the private message area, will check on that.

Hmmm Having enabled own title for admins and moderators, is there a way to ensure only that title is displayed, eliminating the # of posts derived title?
Just want the 'own' one to show.
Thanks

Thanks I've done this on my board. It's a two liner change. Let me know if you want the info.
