A closed board is now somewhere in the breadcrumbs, and in the title.
I would like to see this closed message LOUD and clear for my fellow admins so they know it's closed. You kinda miss it otherwise.
Even more, I would like an option to close the board for admins except of a selected few that are involved with why the board is closed at that moment.

Alternatives
1. Use the Forum Introduction (It has a switch on and off) 2. Bann them while you work on it. 3. Have the option as you suggest.

Yes I've asked for that before as well. At the time the fix was suggested to modify your own CSS code as I recall.

yes - both the same ie someone who has a high number of rights, but is not an admin and can't quite do everything.
IMO there should be
users moderators group moderators super moderators admins
The group moderators would be an assigned group that has rights to edit posts for example, and people can be added to that group by the admin - but these users are not necessarily moderators in their own right. If they then edit a post it would say edited by a group moderator

Supers get to wear capes, globals get to rule the globe! lol... I agree about the nessessity, basically a global mod would be an admin without the admin control panel ability (basically moderator ability in every forum). The idea of group or category moderators sounds kinda cool too

I've had this problem a couple times too. I have to warn them ahead of time and that still doesn't always work.
