Couple things. If things aren't exactly perfect you can't email a user in the manage users sections. Mail user name or no user names, CC or not to CC etc and it all breaks the process if it isn't perfect. It seems the stars have to line up to get that to work right.

Next thing.. With all the spam filters out there today most of the board emails are being sent out and collected by junk mail folders due to the email having pure text and a URL in it.

I am not sure how we can make this better but is there a way to make sure it is seen as a true email and not junk. Maybe forcing a fully qualified user name as the sender as standard part of setup with a testing capability. Not sure. The email capability and with all that is going on these days seems to becoming a weaker element of functionality.

Any thoughts guys ?

Now adays freemail providers (yahoo, hotmail, etc) filter out mail from phpmailers or items that don't follow things to a "t"; they also tend to filter things from sites which don't have a proper SPF entry in their DNS.

aye but alot of that comes down to formatting and proper resolution.

The old mails that went out with classic were far far better than the simple non-personal one-liners now. I have heard from many members that they are not keen on the ones now, it would be good if they could be improved.

Most of them can be improved by updating your language files

It is difficult. Can someone post any good examples? Anyone got them set up like classic? That would be good.

We can only hope its for the better.
I do miss the Classic E-mails, i was happy with them.

Right now, i have all my e-mails going to one folder.
With out any context to them, but with the above change
this should make things alot easier.
