In cp -> Primary Settings -> Logging tab...
For the logging info, there are 2 fields I'm not sure what goes in them:
What do I fill in for the "Maximum Control Panel Log Size? It is blank. I'm not sure what type of units to use...points, width, inches, bytes... I'm not sure what a normal size Control Panel Log is supposed to be.
The last field is the "Maximum # of Archived Logs? How do I know what # to put here. The default is "0."
Thanks.

Well I set mine up on a dedicated server so I have absolute paths to hard drive locations so I'm not positive of the allowed path vars

I'm sure someone that is hosting remotely can come along and show you though. The size it just that, how large of a file do you want to keep for a log of activities that happen in the CP by other Admins and Mods.

if this is for 7.1.1, then the size is actually the size that the log file gets saved off and a NEW log starts.
the field "Maximum Number of Archived Logs" is how many there will be. ie: if 4 then up to 4 logs are saved before rotate/overwrite
so for you guys interested in space, you'll need to know that your log(s) will accumulate over time.
log1, log2, log3 etc etc. it's up to you to grab the old ones and save them to HDD, if you are afraid of space issues. (btw, 'logx' is just for example- i forget the actual log file names)
a value of 0 prolly means just keep on going, vs non-zero means stop at x and start rotating.
i could be wrong about 0 though.

Basically the max filesize needs to be set as well as a path. This however will change in 7.2; as cp logging will be done to the mysql database. MySQL logs however will remain flat file.
