When 2 Moderators fall out?

It can happen and its happened to me tonight with 2 top lads,
over one not being as supportive as he could be.

Almost at the point of banning one of them as
he wanted to have the last word and not let it drop.

I know next week they will be best buddies again lol..

Just a heads up that it does happen, when you least expect it.

Best advice Nip it in the bud asap, and if need be,
BAN Them both until they find there Dummies.

I like destaffing them for a period; till they cool down; if that doesn't work, possibly removing them from the "users" group so they can't air their laundry in public

I have not had that problem yet. But have any of you announced a new moderator, only to have one or two people complain about your choice?

We've had it and lost one of the Mods.

Yes, but then again I also let everyone know my reasoning behind my decisions; then told them that their opinions in the matter weren't welcme

and found that

1. My choice was the right one.
2. The Ones that shouted the most didn't hang around much longer.

I used to ask current moderators about a new one,
but they almost knocked them back as soon as i mentioned them,
i put this down to lack of vision and maybe feeling threatened.

Now if someone asks to be come a moderator,
i check there post count and quality of content.

I ask them to make a forum there own and get new topics
started etc.. And that's my gauge to there wanna be status.
As they normally fade away only being TITLE seekers.

The reason I asked, is that I just started a new moderator last night - great gal who's been with the site for years, and very popular. But because she's popular, I think there will be some people who won't like it for WHATEVER reason.
