The reset button clears out the text you've entered into the text box; it will not clear the data out of the shoutbox.

Ok but that is not clean as shouts done 5 days ago still are there thus people today seeing them assume those users are still there and typing shouts to people not online.

Shouts scroll off when the box is filled; each additional shout will scroll off the first shout in the box.
As for telling when they where made, a popup should appear when hovering over a shout.

The designed behavior is for them to scroll off, after X ammount are posted, the first is removed making room for the new one; it does not scroll them off every day, it's not programmed to do so

How about if they added a function in the Admin to allow clearing the shout box out ?
Else those of us with small forums that shout content could set there for weeks.

Yeh, go to the "Database Tools" and run this query: delete * from `ubbt_SHOUT_BOX`;

Well safer is just click the X and remove the shouts especially if it's a slow board and you don't want them.
Then you could even be selective and maybe leave a few you like.
