Why is there a checkbox for "add signature to this post" when a moderator is editing someone else's post? Seems that this is superfluous and probably should be removed when it's a moderator edit. (Or am I missing something?)

No you may or may not want to add your signature so the board gives you the option. More people would squawk about not having the option then those not wanting it.

Nt, i think he's referancing the fact that this shows when a moderator is editing a users posting.

Yes I know and sometimes I want my sig to be placed in the post and some times I don't. If the way it works now is removed then I'll be the one here complaining.

well, you're missunderstanding...
Say, if I edit your post, I have the option to display to have a signature displayed...
He's not saying that when a member edits his own post, or makes a post...
Simply when a mod edits a users post; since the moderators sig doesn't show in the first place on a users post, it's redundant to have the option

Ah! I think I get it. Stuck in my head the "edited by" but you guys are speaking of the SIGNATURE
Yeah I don't care about the SIG but I don't want the option for saying edited or not removed.

If the moderator doesn't have the ability to edit users, it's the only way he can hide an offensive signature.
