Feedback on support or the product itself is fine. If you have legit feedback from a client that you've installed it for, then that works as well.

I posted this on my Groupee account over the weekend: "Late on Friday night I registered a domain. Then I placed an order for my second UBB license. Less than 12 hours later on Saturday morning, I had an email from the Groupee sales department that contained my license info. I wasn't expecting this until after their office opened up on Monday. I don't know who is in UBB sales, but this was a VERY pleasant surprise. You have a happy customer. "

I'm certainly not the code monkee that you are. I wish I had that kind of time, but a job gets in the way of that.

Total coincidence. Finally decided it was time for this on my site tonight and then I read this thread. I'll definitely fill out your form.

We've been getting a pretty good sampling of feedback, but haven't really had the time to put all of it into a page on the site. What we may end up doing is just making a moderated forum here so it can be posted directly and the moderators can review them.

Ok, I've rearranged some forums and setup a new feedback forum. Anyone running UBB.threads is free to make a topic in here. No spammy type posts, this forum will be specifically to show others what our customers think of UBB.threads. So, I'll encourage everyone to create their own thread. It's fully moderated. I'd prefer to just have individual topics, no replies, so it's easy for potential customers to peruse. So, if you're running UBB.threads and have some thoughts on the experience you'd like to share, or on the support you've received, please post, so this forum doesn't stay empty for long

I love threads! with Version 7.3 (or when ever this new Permissions schema came out) I absolutely HATE this control panel for permissions. It is way too much of a pain in the butt to set up a board. You have made something that was fairly straight forward into something that has become extremely convoluted and quite frankly difficult to set up. Sorry if this unhinges anyone but it is not nearly as user friendly as it once was.

That was one of the consequences of adding more permissions that everyone wanted. The more permissions we have, the more steps involved to set it up.
The good thing is you can change the default template. You can set the basic permissions that you want to have for each newly created forum, so it's closer to the way they should be for your site.

Any likelihood of a User Manual of sorts for newbies explaining different features for people who are new to running forums and their functioning. P.S: it might save you folks time in terms of replying to simple queries which could be detailed in the manual, or is it something which would be too time consuming for it to get off the ground.... Welcome your feed back....

^ sorry I assumed the above was a support issue.
Please let me know if it is not a support issue and needs to be raised else where, since I am new and not very good with finding my way around.
thanking in advance.

Did you check out the documentation link on the side bar <--- under site links
Its the only thing I know of right now that might help you out. Once you get going its pretty easy and the community will help you out with the minimum of fuss if you have a question.

Let me start with I just purchased a gold license. I have had regular membership here since around 1999-2000. One of the many reasons is the support from Rick and many other users here. Recently I had a problem with my ISP that had blocked emails from this site. It did take a few tries to figure it out due to the mail server here uses a different IP but Rick finally resolved it. Thank you again Rick. I am committed to UBBthreads forever as far as I am concerned.

Does anybody know how the UBB classic 6.7.0 records the thread times? Is it generated by the users PC, or from the server that the site is using? Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks

I'm pretty sure it just grabs the unix time as displayed on the server then offsets it based on what timezone the user indicated they're in when it loads
