UBB.threads PHP Forum Software Community Forums General Suggestions and Feedback [7.2] - Allowing HTML in a forum name.. is this wise ?

I found a forum using bold tags around the name.. no biggie, but there was also had an unclosed "<a href="....." tag too...

that kinda screws up the display

at the very least it should be made safe from html n00bs or just plain typos ... ie: if you want a clickable forum title (which has benefits - and i use it), then have it as an option to the forum, where the code safely generates the link for them.

Well, if someone decides to hack at their forum header, it's kind of out of scope to have to fix it for them; and could add some extra processing time trying to validate everything is closed in files which may be included elsewhere

we htmlspecialchar topic titles.. why not forums ?
