/languages/english/cfrm.php fyi, coulda used cpanel, languages, language editor, search 'Birthday'  oh, and glad to see you back

Yeh the date,
but is there an opt in opt out?
When does the e-mail get sent?
Midnight? Or after someone posts on that day ?

lol.. hahahaaha... you got me.. dammit i was going to edit it, just to fool with you... damn... note to self: Mark S is onto me  oh and your answer is that cfrm does it and technically it's on the first time that cfrm notes that the birthdays haven't been sent for the current day. specifically:

I don't wear these shades to just look good < Now i edit to keep up with the above edit lol > So when someone hits the index page, e-mails are sent on that day. So if the first person looks at 2am that's when the e-mails are sent ?

when cfrm is loaded.. sooooooo, that could be like the first user to login and do a ubbthreads?ubb=cfrm to your forum, when the b'days need sending out. technically that could be 1 second after midnite or longer... you get the drift though

There's only one bummer about the birthday email. I wanted the email to be "from" my website name, not my forum name. And I looked forever last night how to change it without changing the forum name, but I couldn't.

RE: Sending - Yeh, first time main forum page is loaded; if you get hit by bots it's likely you'll get it sent right at midnight. RE: Not allowing - I think, but may be wrong, that it requires users to select the option to recieve forum mailings. RE: Name - I'm sure you can request a mod over @ ubbdev rosie

I have a formatting question... I've noticed the birthday email users receive for my site come through like this: The team at 'mydomain.com', [http://www.mydomain.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php], would
like to wish you a Happy Birthday!, The ending bracket and comma are hotlinked, thus screwing up the link. Here is what is in my language file: Hi %s,\n\n The team at %s would like to wish you a Happy Birthday! How should I change it to eliminate the brackets and comma in the link?

Well, the link isn't an HTML link (AFAIK) so it'd be the email client which is converting it to a link... When it's converting, it's converting the full URL, and assuming ], are a part of it.
I'm unsure of where it is however, I am sure it's in the code itself and not the wordlet.
