In the control panel, under member management there is a field for "Name Color". I have played with this a bit by typing in a color such as "Green" and it seems to work. It does not seem to work if I put in an HTML color code, so I have to type the color name it appears. The question I have is what colors are available? If I type in scarlet does it recognize that as a color, or is it only the basics, such as Red, Green, Blue, Black, etc...

It should work for both "standard" and "hex" colors; by "standard" I mean: red blue black green, etc.
I'd generally recommend using hex however as it allows better customizations: #135060

BTW, generally I recommend against using the name color altogether; at least if you use many styles, as the name color will not be able to be specified on a style by style basis, so you could end up with some color conflicts.

Yes hex is better and more universal but requires a LOT of brain memory cells or an external program

LOL - Too many extensions already - went hog wild and had to trim some down FF got too slow.

Color Picker and Tidy are the two I can't live without; I also have a page load timer, browsing timer, no squint, that would be hard to be without... the others are just there for show
