V7.2 -
I had 7 albums in the gallery section (G)
All 7 showed in the gallery island.
Then someone posted 1 image in the gallery section and I deleted it
Not sure if that was some trigger or not but now the gallery island only shows 2 or the 7 photo albums.
Yet all 7 can be seen if going to gallery forum section
What caused 5 of them not to be shown in island now and whats the fix ?

Hmm, you might try clearing the cache in the control panel. This should force a rebuild of all of the islands and fix it. Might just be a glitch when it's generated after a delete.

Clearing the cache did NOT solve the problem and there was 2 albums 1 hour ago showing in the island and now only one is thus 6 now are not shown in island but does in the gallery forum section
There must be some setting I cannot find in CP that dictates how long a gallery is shown in a gallery island ?

I also logged out, deleted temp internet files in browser and that did not change anything.
Logged back in and still albums not shown in gallery island.

I notice the 6 albums that no longer showing in island all were posted on July 8th.
Its interesting then they went away on Aug 9th as somewhere there is a age value of 1 month or 30 days for what is in a gallery island somewhere but cannot find it in the CP

Odd, there's no time setting anywhere on how old of pictures it will list. Can you open up a regular support ticket for this with FTP and admin info for the forum? Would like to check a couple things.

FYI for others if they have this problem using V 7.2
I and Rick looked at this and the end result is PHP caching used for my webhosting services cannot be used with this forum software.
For whatever reason with this cache on this odd issue of aging image albums in a gallery island to age out over time.
Turning the PHP cache off for all software programs is required to prevent the images not showing in the gallery island.
