Is it possible to e-mail the user list?

Not currently that I'm aware of.

yes, go to the control panel. member management.

do your search (whatever you want).. example: all users

then when you have that list presented, there is an 'Action' pull down.

One option is to Email ... select this (along with probably 'all members in search radio button)...

then fill out the little Email form.. do the deed and watch it cycle that email out to all those selecte users

Wow, thanks SD guess I need to explore that CP some more.

i must admit it's not obvious.. normally a person thinks along the lines of.. "hrm... i wanna send emails out to so and so member set...", so they look around for something that would be like "Email members" in the cpanel..

it's not glaringly obvious to the casual observer that it's there and the only reason i stumbled upon it, was in playing around with html email format(s)...

oh, that and grep -rI "send_mail" *.php >whomailswhere.txt, kinda was the cheating way
