Well, now that I've upgraded to the latest version of PHP and MySQL, mail is no longer sending out from my forum. This makes it hard for new users to register

The forum server is actually also the mail server, running MailEnable. So it should have worked easily.

I did just alter the mail SMTP setting and explicitly set it to the IP address of my main web server. That server has a smarthost setting to send mail back to my mail server, and relay is enabled between the two machines. Unfortunately, that's not working either.

I'm not finding any badmail entries or getting any bouncebacks. It's as if the mail isn't being generated now.

Any thoughts?

OK I put in the forum system's IP address into the UBB SMTP area, and it's working now. I'll make a note to do that going forward.
