I can not Move a Topic ?

Ive begun to build a few test forums and catergories.

So i now begun to move things around,
But every time i try to move the topic,
i get the following..... (61-Untitled-2.gif )

It looks like a search error screen to me??

I have tried logging in and out,
check the flod controls.

What i can add into the pot,
is that there are no Moderators Set
and i am the sole Admin (lonely at times).

ive added myself as a moderator,
but still the same as above

yeah, it's a reported bug. Is the topic sticky as well? Those I can't move have been sticky topics.

Mines not a sticky topic,
nor a global announcement topic.

Moving regular topics should be fixed in beta2. Still some issues with stickies I'm working on for beta3.

Yeh me too, And its never been Sticky.
I cant Move any topics at all.

If anyone is getting an error when moving a topic in beta2 can you post it for me. If it's the Search error again or an actual SQL error that will help.

It is the search error that I got. I will retry and confirm.

Thanks Ian. Do you get that immediately when moving the topic or when trying to visit the moved topic?

straight after clicking on the chosen forum and selecting that. The post is not moved.

BTW - I am moving as a moderator if that helps.

Thanks for the extra info, that should help me track it down. So far I'm completely at a loss. That error only comes from the dosearch script and how it's getting redirected to there I haven't a clue yet.

Or a topic from one catergory to a diffrent catergory.

Ive tried this as a Moderator & Admin.

I havent been able to move anything since
i installed B1
Meaning ive never experienced the moving a topic sensation.

Found the bug. It's a missing closing form tag in the templates/default/movethread.tpl file. I couldn't duplicate it because I had the search box on the left side. If you have your search on the right side the search form overrides the movethread form because of the missing closing form tag, so you end up searching instead of moving

Just a note, there may be another little bug
in there.

If your dying to move a topic like me,
disable the search feature in the
portal layout. (Hide).

You can move topics until B3

or edit the search island and close the form box code.
