UBB.threads PHP Forum Software Community Forums General Suggestions and Feedback My Stuff --> My favorite topics

I had a user suggest this today, and it seems like a very good idea.

Some threads on my board are great to refer back to -- It's a mountain climbing board, and one thread specifically has just the right pictures showing the most difficult section of Mt. Whitney.

It would be nice if a user could add the thread into a list that he could access easily.

I suggested he use his browser's "favorites" or bookmarks feature to bookmark the thread, which will certainly work, but the favorites within the board would be great.

Thanks!

My Stuff, My Watchlists ?

you can have favorite topics that you watch there.. no?

A watchlist could be used as a favorites list, I guess. But you get an email every time a watchlist topic gets a new post.

Edit: ...Oh! I see that in this board, you can set "email notification" to None on watched topics. So I guess the thread just gets added to the list, as a "Favorite". Is that right?

Yes, users can choose if they want to recieve email notifications or not, so it's all on them... Insta-Favorites
