I think it would be real handy to be able to exclude locked topics from a forum listing. For example, maybe under Forum Options or something, have an option such as "Hide Locked Topics" that would refresh the page with only the currently open topics in the forum displayed.
Thanks, Tim

The thought was that if its under display options on the forum list, the user would have to actually select the option, and then click Change (see attached image.) It could be something that you turn on temporarily so there wouldn't be confusion as to missed post.
I've got notes on the code changes that would be necessary for this, should there be an interest.
i can see where this would be handy for "broad discussion" forums, but for "on topic" or "support" forums it'll just encourage the same old questions no?
Actually, when thinking of the post as "open" or "closed", it makes perfect sense. A support person (or support persons) can visit the forum, chose to hide "locked" (or "closed") issues, and then can immediately see which things have not come to resolution and remain open.
But, I did mention "it could be something that you turn on temporarily so there wouldn't be confusion as to missed post", as to prevent everyone from missing something that may have already been discussed. But, we know that all forums users always search before asking any questions though, right?
