It would be awesome if there isn't an avatar chosen at all that you could assign a default like an image saying 'coming soon' or the obligatory shadow profile.

Hey well, I modified my template to have a 'character portrait' and a default shadow would be perfect, or an image that could be replaced for those who do not like the.. shadow person.

You can give people a default avatar by editing the default value of the avatar field in the database.
