UBB.threads PHP Forum Software Community Forums General Suggestions and Feedback Wish: Users could save default list of forums for Search.

My ubbthreads installation has 2 very different sets of users (1) lymphoma support, (2) coin-op video game collectors. There is a not-so invisible wall between them. As I ad new sections (ie: pinball collectors), people's search results are getting more and more poluted with postings that they have a zero chance of being interested in.

It would be wonderful if an individual user could set preferences for default selections when the users clicks 'search'. Then search would by default for that user have just the forums selected that the user is actually interested in...

a better option for sites such as yours would be the ability to divide a site up so if someone registered a login page 1 they would just get the forums assigned to login 1, and likewise for those logging in at option 2.

Of course if the user visited option 2, they would still be logged in and could benefit from those forums as well.

Some forums may well serve both option 1 and option 2

Searching could then be limited to the forums set for option 1 or option 2.

I know such an option would benefit several sites (including mine LOL )
