By default the newer versions of PHP won't display errors to the browser, rather it just logs them to the error log file. Quickest thing to start, check your webserver error logs and see if there are any entries with some information.

Anyone?

Any ideas? I think the new version tells IIS to use a .dll file instead of a .php file to execute the PHP. What should I have it choose?

Hmm, that looks like some other script installed on your server, sam_factory, or something like that?

I don't see any entries for your forum at all. What you can do is try editing your php.ini file and look for the display_errors section. It's pretty heavily commented to explain, but you want PHP errors to be displayed to the browser. You'll need to restart your webserver once you make the change.

For now the easiest would be to remove PHP5 and restore PHP4 (IF YOU HAVE A WORKING BACKUP)

If not then hopefully you have the PHP.INI file that you can restore, look at and configure.

If not then basically you need to get PHP running again and then look at your UBB site issues (if any, once PHP is working hopefully there won't be any issues).

Try taking a look here first and getting PHP working properly again on IIS

PHPBuilder - IIS6/PHP Setup FAQ

Do Not copy PHP.INI to the Windows folder as some suggest, fix the path and set an environment variable called PHPRC and set to the location of your PHP installation.

Don't forget that IIS needs rights to read PHP/MySQL as it's the one doing the work.

It looks like PHP is just looking for something that isn't there; just comment it out, restart, and see if it works.

Well if he took the default php.ini from php5 on IIS then it pretty much isn't going to work out of the box from my experience.
It needs some configuration values which if he did an uninstall of the old one then it's gone.

Regardless the link provided should be more than enough information to rip out PHP and get it going again on IIS.

Glad to hear it. If you have direct access to the server as an Admin I have a script that will backup all your data and site for you automatically for Server 2003 (doesn't support Server 2000)

Upgrading to PHP5 should be easy, just make a backup of stuff first and follow the directions provided from that site.
