Maybe I can be directed to the specific link in this support forum, but how do I:
1. Insert an email address in the bottom right corner where it says "Contact us"
2. Insert a disclaimer/comment below the bottom bar on the page
3. Make a box with a list of links in the portal page so that I can place it on the right or left side.
4. make space above the main bar so that I can place ads in the future, and, how do I place the ads there.
5. Make an ad pop-up whenever someone enters a forum and rotate it among my ads from the top of my page.
Thank you for any help. This is new to me and I am trying to do it all myself.

Also, I have this message, what does it mean? Forbidden You don't have permission to access /admin/doprimary.php on this server. Apache Server at www.xxxxxxxxx.com Port 80 I am the admin. Is this an issue with the software or with my host? Not hiding anything, just don't people to see the site till it is more functional.

1. Control Panel > Display Options > General Contact link type+Contact link url 3. Make a custom island with the links in it, and use that custom island in the portal. 4. The space above the main bar you can fill in with a header (display options > html includes > header). 5. That header you set in point 4, you can also set a specific header per forum. You do that in the forum settings. What might be a cool feature for you is to ability to put in a custom island between the first and second post of a topic, that's a perfect place for adds. You can set this per forum what custom island to use. Thank you for any help. This is new to me and I am trying to do it all myself. And imho that's the best way, the more you know about your forum, the more you'll be able to troubleshoot everything.

I just checked the permissions, since I did the install, and they are ok What this could be is the mod_security feature being enabled by the web host. You'll want to contact them to see if that is enabled for your domain, and see if they will disable it if so as it interferes with the software.

I love that I'm the one that introduced Rick to mod_security; I don't think anyone realized how much of a pain in the butt it actually is to work with :x...

mod_security shut off did the trick for the permissions issue. You guys are good. I think this was Rick's suggestion.
Gizmo is the real deal!!! He helped me out a immensely. The HTML coding was prob nothing for you guys but it would have taken me all day. awesome work. Hope he doesn't mind me taking the credit, LOL My partner on the board thinks that it was all me! You see, since seeing how Gizmo did a few things, I can now add onto it a bit. Makes me look like a genius, till I mistype someting.
Thanks for this forum.
