Hey guys!! Ok, you all made me laugh, especially about the home renovations thing. I have to tell you - this is one woman who hates renovations as much as you all do. Better to buy a new home, in my opinion. Oh, and there was poor Ian who needed cheering up, and none of you offered! What's up with that? I would have tried to cheer you up, Ian. Sorry I've been MIA - been real busy. Giz, you've worked for software companies - I'm sure you know what it's like when it gets close to release time. Oh, we also went to the Grand Canyon, and Sedona. Had a ball, but oh my goodness - who can deal with that dry air? Hugs to you all!

Was just thinking of you last night Rose, and thinking where you had gone and what happened to you. Glad to see you're still around and doing well. Yes the Grand Canyon is awesome. My wife has not seen it so need to take her soon. The air there is GREAT I think.

Normally the fairer sex are quite happy to get their blokes to to the hard work involved in the DIY aspect of home-repair. I know my wife is! Although this time I have to admit she's chipped in with the gloss-work (the bit I hate). New carpets are coming next week So it's Hell for Leather on the bathrooms this weekend... sigh. Been at this for about a month now - I'll be paying for someone to do this next time - that's a fact

Thanks for thinking of me, guys. UBB chick ... LOL Mark. Ian, are you visiting Orlando? ntdoc, the air was fine, but VERY dry. I think I'm so used to Florida humidity now. I used copious amounts of lotion and lip balm. driv, not to say I don't like to make changes to the home, but I've learned that it's a recipe for much disharmony, so my preference is to get professionals if we can afford it, and if we can't, we'll wait. My husband likes to do DIY stuff, but it can get ugly. I'd rather a worn carpet than a frustrated and cranky husband. Giz, the company I work for has seven products (much less than Adobe I guess), and right now we're releasing new versions of all of them at the same time. Just a bit crazy right now. I've missed you guys!

Florida weather is great right now, Ian. We are getting days in the low-mid 80s. Perfect. We are travelling down to Fort Lauderdale next weekend, for an Australian Festival. It's quite a big thing every year, and usually in Nashville. They've moved it to Florida though. When will you be in Florida, Ian?

Ian, you must be in Florida now. It's a shame you aren't visiting Orlando - we could have organized lunch or something. That would have been cool.

Why do I have 50 channels on my TV here in Florida and nothing worth watching LOL Because you're not in Los Angeles with 250 Channels and nothing worth watching. Of course you could go to Kansas and have 4 channels and nothing worth watchins

Why do I have 50 channels on my TV here in Florida and nothing worth watching LOL Welcome to amemrica! lol... I have a satelite dish, with the medium package with showtime and encore... That's some 500 channels (plus like 50 of music) and there isn't anything worth watching lol

Yeah but satellite is cheating, most around the World could get that I'd think from someone.
But normal cable providers here in the LA area offer so many channels it's crazy. With the satellite there are also often 10 or more duplicate shows maybe off an hour or so from each other, or some at the same time, some in different language.
Now there are probably about 100 that have even converted to HDTV broadcasting. I still have not popped for one yet myself though.
And yes, wow way too many music stations. If they played music videos that would be cool but they only play music just like a radio.

I've got XM in the car as part of a 3 month freebie with the car lease but I'll be $%@%! if I'm going to pay almost $15 a month for Radio - just not worth it to me, I'll use the 6 CD changer and FM for free.

Lol I so agree, I can't see how people can justify satelite radio, it's a waste of time to buy all the hw then spend $ on it when you can just use a real radio...
Though HD radio sounds interesting...

I have satellite radio in the car I have hired. Not too many channels to choose from mind - although there doesn't appear to be any ads on the channels It is also the first car I have driven that doesn't require me to use the key to open the door or to start the engine LOL The door opening is automatic if I am next to the car, and the engine starts by pressing the brake pedal and pushing a button. Also what I find interesting is a push of a button will change the speedometer from miles to KM's - oh and the heated steering wheel LOL

You simply put your foot on the brake and press a button - just leave the fob on your pocket If you approach the car it allows you to open the door closest to you - nice and easy
