well the comment WAS for you. what i was saying is that in general (when getting started like you are) it's best to do you learning curve on one theme.. get all the kinks out..
and then move on to multi-theme.. if it's even desired at all.
and the other recommend, only based upon what i do is where i kill the little mini images to the left of the button text. of course, you don't really have to do that, but if real estate was becoming an issue, you could decide to kill them.. if you DID decide to go that route, then the css change i posted above would do that for you.
of course, you can decide to ignore what i said and that's ok too

essentially the bottom line is that css / styles / types of users / user's varied screen resolutions / differing browsers come into play and can -- at times -- cause people like you/me (site maintainers/designers) to have some headaches.. all in all, its not terrible, but just something to be cognizant of
