I have one member that sent this via pm:
I keep receiving the error message when I try to post:
The host from which you are accessing the board is not recognized as a valid host. This is more than likely related to a firewall issue that is blocking the referrer variable. Check your firewall settings and try again.
He said he disabled the firewall to make sure it was not his firewall. Others are able to post, but not him.
Any ideas?

This issue is covered here many many times; it boils down to either: 1. Virus Scanner 2. Internet Security Suite 3. Firewall
One of the above is blocking the referrer variable from populating from their machine.
You could stunt your security by turning this check off; it's in General Settings; I myself don't find this as a valid fix.

Thanks. I am guessing you are talking about disabling the http referrer check? If so, what does that leave me open to?

Well, the referrer check ensures that, when posting, the user is posting from your site (or one you've approved to post from).

I have always had mine turned off - never seen any issues in doing this.
Feel free to correct me, if I am wrong.
