I'm having a rash of people who reply to their (email) notification that they have received a PM... Those reply's go to the Webmaster... arghhh...

I have users in Australia, Norway, etc.. so I don't want these to be misrouted... or NOT routed at all.

SO - here was my idea.. can I turn off the CONTENT portion of the PM? (I thought that I could do that with Classic.) That way they won't see the response, and try to reply to it.. All I want is for a LINK to be in the email when they receive it.

some people use different solutions here...
1. Set the "forum email" to "no-reply@yourdomain.tld"; users will usually receive a bounceback (or you can set an auto responder and have email automagically deleted; this would be done through your webhosting provider).
2. Add to the outgoing email with "Please do not respond to this message, it will not be received and will not be responded to; instead please visit our forums".

Or edit the script to not send the content - I thought this was dealt with in a separate post the other day, so a search might bring it up.

I do not have my files with me at the moment, so cannot look it up frown

It would be nice if the Reply to just defaulted to the sender's email address...

But the sender is the forum.

People may not want their email address be made public - that is the whole idea of a PM system wink

Doh. Never really thought about it like that... Well, I just did the no-reply trick.
