Is it too late to add the Private Moderation Modification by UBB Dev. added to 7.3???

It's the one that allows you to have a certain user's posts to be moderated. That is, all of their posts must be approved.

The feature set for 7.3 is now locked.

It doesn't seem too involved to add the coding for this as described at UBB DEV, therefore, it would be nice if this could be added as a feature for 7.3 as it would help in the initial moderation of new members who in some cases are trolls out to mess up our forums, which I had recently.

It's not all that easy; there are a LOT of new changes in 7.3; all of which need heavy testing to ensure they're as bug-free as possible... Just throwing more changes in are going to push back the release date (not to mention the code itself needs to be clean and pass standards)

I was told over in the UBBDev thread that only one further slight change would be needed and then it would also work for 7.3

In 7.3 with the new permission system, you can make it so all posts from a "group" of users are moderated in certain forums. So, all you'd need to do is add the user to that group.

In certain forums, or in all forums? If I can place one or more users in a group that would make it so the user in the group irrespective of what forum they post in would need their post approved, then I can live with that.

I do like being able to set it in the member's profile better, such as is the case in what was modified at UBB Dev for 7.2.2

the permissions system in 7.3 is very flexible - you can set permissions for as many or as few forums as you desire.

Okay it is not initially a one click solution, but once you have the group set up, then it is very easy to add and remove people from it.

Then again, I may like the 7.3 one better.

Time will tell.

the perm matrix works on groups, so you can set separate groups on different forums.

Ian, the big deal is that the Patriots are going for a perfect season with no losses. They have one more regular season game. The last time a team went undefeated was in 1972 (Miami Dolphins).
