Hi,

I'm still in the process of putting my forum on the net. When I left it a few hours ago it was fine, but now when I look at it one of the categories has jumped up on the page to be 2nd instead of 3rd. And when I go to the control panel and look at the category settings everything has disappeared??

I haven't made any changes to the categories today, other than fixing one small spelling error hours ago.

Can anyone help please?

cheers
Djuma

Not to sure without a link to your forum, but if you had something that was set to where a registered user only could see, then you would see it when you are logged in. If you went away and got logged out, when you got back it would not show until you login again.

Good luck. This system is pretty easy to use once you get it installed. It may just take a little poking around to find out where everything is in the control panel. After that you are golden.

If you are seeing the issues once you have logged in, then have you given permissions to the correct groups?

Categories will also not show on the forums, if there are no forums visible within them.

Hi,

The link to the forum is http://<edited>.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php?ubb=cfrm . Just a warning, it's an adult site, there's nothing offensive there at the moment but the topics could offend some people in the future.

The category with the forum with the pic is the one that has jumped up to be in 2nd place. It should be below the category under it. The category which is in 3rd place, should be at the top. And the category at the top should be in third place.

When I say there's nothing in the Category Information in the control panel, i mean there's literally nothing. No information for any category, it's all blank except for a "0" in each of the category order bits. All the names and descriptions have disappeared. They were there beforehand, I didn't take them out.

I was logged in both times when looking at it, and I haven't changed anything with the group permissions.

cheers
Djuma
