I had two users that were using the board for Pming only and want to just delete the PMs on the ubbt_PRIVATE_MESSAGE_POSTS table and start from scratch. What's the fastest way to do this. I presume a SQL command of delete from, but getting an error.

I believe there's a mod at ubbdev for this, as there's 3 tables involved - pm posts, pm topics, and pm users

Ooops. messed up. I deleted the posts table (ubbt_PRIVATE_MESSAGE_POSTS). Dumb move, really. However, I'm fairly proficient in SQL and can do the insert to add the table. Can someone just post to me the column names and field size, etc.? I think that a quick DESC command would give that info, no? But I can't run a describe on that table because it is gone. Ooops again.

I'd grab the create table script in your zip and the portion thereof for the table you deleted - it may be different based on the version you have installed.

I couldn't find it, but was able to get a desc and rebuilt table successfully. Back in business.

PS - If I've never created any backup directories does that mean that there is currently no backup of my DB?

Always best to backup your database from an SSH login - far better than any script or phpmyadmin, which is likely to time out.
