I'm trying to split the 'date' attribute into different sections so I can have the date appear in differnt colors on pages where the backgrounds make the selected color difficult to read.

Is something theat would be considered a code hack that I should look to UBBDev.com for?

Or is there a simple way to do this using the provided interface?

I was able to overwrite the particular instances I was concerned about by isolating the specific classes being used and referencing an external stylesheet using the '!important' tag.

If there's a 'better/safer' way to do this I'd still be interested in hearing what you've got!

Which dates are you concerned with changing? I'm sure this can be done with JUST css.
