UBB.threads PHP Forum Software Community Forums UBB.threads 7 Version 7 Support Forcing Users to Accept Rules on Next Visit - not "taking"

We updated the rules on our forums and would like to make sure everyone reads and agrees to them the next time they visit the forums.

When I check that option under Registration Settings in the control panel, nothing happens. Is there some way to make sure this setting "takes"?

Probably a caching issue. Were you using IE6 or IE7 to make the change? Give Firefox a try or maybe a CTRL-F5 in IE to see if it's changed.

IE has automatic cache enabled by default to allow faster browsing. You can enable it to check the page every time which may help overcome this issue.

I just tried it in FireFox, and no go with it either. I was using IE7 but my settings for it have been to not cache pages. Doesn't seem like caching is the issue.

Might be best to open a support ticket, so I can do some direct testing. It's basically a timestamp that checks to see when the last time they accepted was against when the last time the board rules were written to.
