7.2.2 question...
Suppose Bob has two accounts, Bob and Bob2, and I want to merge them.
I want to end up with just the original Bob account. Do I bring up Bob2 in control panel, and merge with Bob? Or is it the other way around?

Good question. I've also wondered about the proper steps to merging two accounts. It's an interesting feature, but I've been hesitant to experiment with it.

I believe you go to the one you want to merge, then merge with the target.

I tried this a while back on my test site and I *think* it prompts you as to which gets merged with what. You do have the option to back out. Another option is to simply create two test ID's and try it for yer self!

I just merged three accounts together tonight for one of my members. Great feature.
And yes, before you do the final step, it asks you which log-in will be retained on the final merged account, thus determining the identity of the final account.
