UBB.threads PHP Forum Software Community Forums UBB.threads 7 Version 7 Support Can't delete new forums...

I am running 7.2 and was wondering if anyone has a fix for this issue.

I tried to make a new forum but it didn't show in the forum manager...I ended up trying 3x, with different names. Nothing showed.

When I viewed the board, 1 of the new forums did show up. Since it does not show in the forum manager in the control panel, I went into the db and killed all 3 under the UBBT_Forums table.

However, the 1 forum still won't go away...so now I can neither make new forums or kill the old ones.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

It is probably a file permission error in the /cache directory. Make sure all files have permission 666 in that directory.

The file forum_cache.php, which the control panel uses probably is at fault here.

Thanks blaaskaak, you were correct about it being an issue with the cache directory.

Rick from support advised me to manually delete all the files in that directory except the index.htm, and that was what finally fixed it...apparently something had gotten stuck.
