Beach weekend... See ya'll Late Sunday/Early Monday  ... Heading off to Newport, Oregon ( MapQuest) with friends (and kids) to release some RL stress...

But your route taking you the long way. Well aware of it... They wanted to go to the Astoria Tower; which I may add, was closed for repairs lol... So that's 3 hours out of the way. L-O-N-G trip lol; BUT I saved 3 hours driving by forcing them to not take the same route home... Lets just say, the west coast highway may be scenic, but if you get any type of motion sickness you're screwed... lol... Was a great trip though, we didn't get to do the Acquarium, since we did the tower we where strapped for time... Which sucks as that's the main reason we went lol... We did however get to bring the kids to the undersea gardens; the Portland one has nothing on the one in Seattle lol...

Yeh, next trip won't be till May, but we'll end up in Newport via the fast directions, then we'll have the day at the aquarium (which was why I wanted to go in the first place), I haven't been there since I was like 12 lol...
It was a fun trip none the less; lots of pictures, and I got to try out the digicam features of my camera corder... though they're all 1mp, it's good for "quick shots" when you need them...

Will get some processed shortly (resized to actually be under the size limit here lol). One thing to keep in mind, here in OR it's generally 60-70 at our beaches, not warm enough to swim ... So, we generally go for the scenery and to toodle around townes...

You know, I just have to wonder if I'm going to be yelled at for spamming 6 pages of photos... Then again, I'd have had them all on one page if the image upload limit wasn't 3 ... Ok, so a tour!... We started out in Astoria... We had gone to check out the Astoria Column, but alas, it was closed... So the kids played, and boy did Trey Play... Then we drove down through the West Coast Highway (if you get motion sickness easily, I highly advise against it) all the way down to Tillamook. and then on our way to our master destination... We arrive in Newport, and head straight for the Beach for some quick fun! This was Trey's first time playing at the beach... And incase you're wondering, yes, Beaches do in fact have water... lol Then we went in for a quick look at the waterfront Museum where we fed sea lions and then ran back to the car to toodle around... Not many photos after this as we didn't have a chance to do the Oregon Coast Aquarium (sad me..) we ran out of time... But we'll be going down there in May just for that... Well, I do have more photos, but I don't feel like resizing then uploading here in sets of 3 ...
