I am stuck on the language upgrade part. It says:

english/faq.php
String not updated: $ubbt_lang['B_SUBJECT'] = "The first post of a given topic establishes the subject by which all subsequent replies will be known. Once there's been a reply, the topic subject cannot be subsequently changed. It's therefore important to get the subject right from the outset.

Make it as descriptive and as specific as possible. For example, \"LCD burn-in questions\", is much better than something completely generic, such as \"Newbie needs help!\". Not only is it more likely to elicit a response, but it'll also make it much easier for all posts in the topic to be subsequently located.";

------------------------------------------

I did find that file in question and edited it and saved it. I have tried the BACK button as well as the 'add it by hand' option. No matter what I try, it still complains about the above text, even though that text is no longer in the english/faq.php file.

Just for others who may hit this issue, what I had to do is remove the actual CHANGE line from the install script. I then was able to move forward. Hopefully that subject FAQ entry wasn't exceptionally important smile

I have the same problem - which install script did you need to alter? And what exactly would the alteration be?

I fixed it by viewing the source of the error page, copying the error from the source,and pasting it into the faq.php page. Must be extra spaces somewhere...
