I upgraded to 7.3 from 7.1 yesterday
all images that were linked via IMG tags before the upgrade show up fine, however, any IMG tag created after just shows the UBB code and the link in the post, can't get any new images to show up.

Could you please paste the code exactly as you're trying it on your site so we can troubleshoot.

that should parse, without an issue, as it's proper... could you do a real world (actual image) example vs trying to just show how it should look... See, I can just do this and have it work: What i'm thinking is that there may be a ? in the url...

Can do it here, not on my forums I have just installed.
Is there some setting that might affect this that we need to make valid?

I'm guessing it's a permission problem with the 7.3 permission system.

Even for admin?
If it is permission problem, how do you suggest we fix it?
This is before I have done any changes on the test install by the way.

Under Display Options -> Primary -> Post/Reply Page Options, check to see what you have for "Post Image Limit". By default this should be 10. If it's empty or 0, then it needs to be changed.
If that ends up fixing it then I need to figure out why this didn't get populated, as the upgrade is supposed to take care of putting in a default.

Unfortunately not. The enabling and the limit of images are the only thing that dictate if the img tag gets parsed.
I'll probably need a support ticket so I can ftp and take a look. I've tried on every board I have access to and the img tag works as it should.

https://www.infopop.com/q/q.php?action=pool_query&num=55Or you can PM me with the info, since this is definitely an upgrade issue, it's not something we'd need advanced support for. I can certainly investigate on your test forum, might be even better since it won't be disruptive to your users if I have to add some debug code.

Looks like it is working. The only example of it failing that I can see is in a signature, which is a separate permission setting.

Ok. Looks like I forgot about one Forum Permission to have you guys check and that was the Can Use Markup/UBBCode. I enabled this for both of you, and image tags are now working.

Yes, settings apply to al forums, so it best to spend an hour or so to go through each forum and check the permissions as well as the permissions for each group of users.
