As admin, somehow, I'd like the ability to view what general members see when the board is closed..

GangsterBB.NET (Ver. 7.6.1.1)
PHP Version 5.6.40 / MySQL 5.7.23-23 (was 5.6.41-84.1) / Apache 2.4.54

You can add your own reason for the closure into the CP smile

The forums are always "open" for Admins (site title says closed, but that's it), while general users see the "We're Closed" message. I just think it'd be nice if Admins could at least view the "We're Closed" message to check it's formatting, etc... and to be more obvious that it's closed... but still retain "open" status... if that makes sense lol...

That's what I do.

Actually I totally redirect everyone away from the whole site using an .htaccess file if I am busy upgrading. Whole site just for me smile

Too many people with admin rights on our board that kind of miss that the board is closed.

Okay, at least make it more obvious that the board is closed to Admins... laugh

I used to put a check in the headercode that would display it LOAD and CLEAR smile

There are more messages in the suggestions forum about making that closed message a bit (read: A LOT) more clear.

Thing is, we got quite a bunch of people with admin rights. So easier solution for me in the end is the .htaccess solution so they can't reach the site anyway, and don't get in my way during upgrades.
