I had a long time members account vanish from the database

is there a way I can restore his account from a backup ?
all his post seems to be gone
I wonder if I restore his account will all his post show up again .

anyway
I have a backup db & would like to just grab his user account & insert it in the live db

I don't think that's possible, you'd have better luck restoring the whole backup rather than pulling something out of the old one and putting it in the new one.
