Site: www.SimHQ.comBecause a couple of *influential* community members have made the recommendation for SimHQ to move back to LINUX from Winders, I have to replace my current ad serving software as part of the switchover. We currently are using BanManPro ( www.banmanpro.com) which we think is excellent, but they do not make a LINUX version. So what is the best LINUX ad serving software? TIA for all suggestions and opinions. - Doug

That's what I use. It's pretty nice but a takes a wee bit of time to wrap your head around the program & options.

I use ADPEEPS now. I used to use PhPAdsnew (Freeware) but it was way too complex and full of features I didn't need. I then bought Adpeeps from www.adpeeps.com and love it. It is very easy to use and has all the features I need at least. They do have a free trial version available. Basil

Oads (rhymes with go-nads) I was half asleep when I visited their site and went through the PHPAds -> OpenAds upgrade (couldn't go any further due to script requirements and the clients php install version) and said the same thing to myself :x

I'll vote for OpenAds or whatever it is now... OpenX. I started using it a year ago and it works really well. I too found it a bit much to get to use at first because all I really need is an ad server that keeps stats as well. It has a nice feature that emails statistic reports to your advertisers which is sweeeet! It does a lot more too and since it is free you can't lose for trying it. If a knuckle dragger like me can figure it out then it can't be too difficult to use!

I can recommend it as well. Been using it for years and it works great. The interface can be a bit confusing at times because of the sheer number of features, but there's great documentation and once you get the hang of it it's pretty straight forward.

A follow-up to this discussion. We went with Ad Peeps and have been very pleased with it. Highly recommend it.
Thanks to everyone for the feedback. It was very helpful.
