Hi there

I'm using Version 7.3 of the UBB Forum.
How can I replace the flashing Private Message Icon with a bigger image?

right click on that icon and do properties.. note where it's located..

replace that image..

I'd go as far as changing the templates/code to change the filename. Browser caches can be a nag if you want to replace an existing image.

which templates file contains the pm icon?
The new image I want to use for the PM icon will be bigger than the envelope. Will this be a problem?

it isn't in a template, it's in a library.

edit /libs/html.inc.php

PHP Code
$new_flasher =  "<a href=\"" .  make_ubb_url("ubb=viewmessages", "", false) . "\"><img src= \"{$config['BASE_URL']}/images/{$style_array['general']}/newpm.gif\" border=\"0\" alt=\"$lang_string\" title=\"$lang_string\" /></a>";

This line you can find in that file, and you could replace newpm.gif with a new filename.

Just wanted to mention that I can't see the code in IE7

No worries in compliant browsers.
