Hi to All, I have just been promoted to "global moderator" on my forum powered by UUB.threads version 7.3.1. Our forum also supports a chatroom using 'Flashchat V4.8.3".My prob is this; On logging into chat form the forum ( http://www.outdoorking.com.au) it logs me in ok but the area at the bottom of the page where you type is missing (as are all the option buttons and preference settings. Our administrator Bruce has tried everything to get it sorted and the only way we could get chat to work for me was to put me back to 'moderator' Could you please help and explain why as a 'Global moderator', the login to chat is compromised and how we can fix it? Kindest Regards, Darryl deejay66
Many thanks, Kindest Regards, Darryl

Flashchat should be modified to cope with the new globalmoderator status in ubb.threads.

Just to clarify; FlashChat is not a part of the UBB product; it's a 3rd party script. They will need to update their script to be compatable with UBB.T7.3+ (as there was a reworking of the permission matrix)

Yes, it should be fairly easy for them to modify flashchat. You should probably make a post on their forums with the following info.
If they are using group numbers for their permissions :
Old Group Numbering:
1 => Administrator 2 => Moderator 3 => User 4 => Guest
New Group Numbering:
1 => Administrator 2 => GlobalModerator 3 => Moderator 4 => User 5 => Guest
If they are working off the USER_MEMBERSHIP_LEVEL field then here are the different values for that field they need to check for (GlobalModerator being the new one) :
Administrator GlobalModerator Moderator User

Flashchat is an external product, so any upgrade instructions for that should be found in the flashchat documentation.

Stan I tried to install version 5 but had two many problems so I went back to version 4.83 and all works ok (including Global Moderator) just do a search for post done by Outdoorking on the flashchat site and you will get the answer to your problem.
