UBB 7.2.2

I have been using exim with php.ini set to:

SMTP = localhost
smtp_port = 25

This has been commented out and I have switched to:

sendmail_path = /usr/sbin/sendmail

sendmail is installed and works fine from Mutt with the path of sendmail in .muttrc

I can't get my forums to send email with sendmail even with:

Use specified SMTP Server: /usr/sbin/sendmail


How can I see what my forums are currently using to send email?

How can I see how much email is queued? I'm assuming the forums CAN queue email? Does restarting apache2 reread php.ini?

I found this in the email log:

smtpstatus=553 smtpmsg='553-5.1.2 We weren?t able to find the recipient domain. Please check\n553-5.1.2 for any spelling errors, and make sure you didn?t enter any\n553-5.1.2 spaces, periods, or other punctuation after the recipient?s\n553 5.1.2
