Helloo..

After a couple of failed upgrade attempts to 7.4 I've noticed that once restoring the old site a few things are no longer updating..

Content islands of latest posts, have remained at the same posts from the site backup, although creating a new island is ok, but the old one is now dud.

Latest members and member counts have not changed since that date either.

I'm guessing there is something that needs to be reset, any ideas what i need to do to get it working again?

thanks

Which version were you prior to 7.4 ?
The reason i ask as there could be new tables from a earlier version?

7.3.1. When restoring all files and all database files get put back as they were.

I'd run the permission check in the control panel and make sure everything passes in there. It could be some of the files aren't writable for updating.

All passes in the permissions checks.

I've also noticed that if I add new forums or categories I cannot find them either.

It sounds like you've got a "stuck" cache. Try FTP'ing into your site and deleting all files in your cache folder except for the index.html file. Then go into the Control Panel and clear the cache.
