That's your post based title. You can assign yourself a custom title and change or choose not to display the post based ones if a custom one is assigned.

Depending on your settings you can add a custom title under your profile or control panel>member management

You are using the member titles right now. If you goto Control Panel » Profile Settings -Member titles tab You will see Post count titles. This is the title a member gets per the number of posts That user has made. At the top of the page is a check box If a user has both a Custom and Post title, only show Custom Title: If you want a special title just for your self or a select few that does not change reguardless of post count.Select the check box.
Then goto Control Panel » Member Management . Find the member as yourself. Edit that member and you will see a field called Member Custom Title: Put whatever you want in there.
You can also enable this feature for all members GOTO Control Panel » Group Management (SELECT THE GROUP)» Site Permissions You will see a selection called Can set a Custom Title. change the value from 0 to 1 to enable it.

changing it from 0 to 1 doesn't fix it either, unless everyone is going to have a custom title that is 1 character long so you want to really change the number from 0 to xx, where xx is the maximum length of the allowed custom title

In fact just under that field is a note: Max # of characters in their custom title. Must of been a brain fart.
