I came on to find that my forums gave an error "The table 'ubbt_ONLINE' is full" -- I never saw that before, but went into phpMyAdmin and closed a couple (of only like 20) and it came back. A couple more minutes later I get "The table 'ubbt_TOPIC_VIEWS' is full" when trying to read a topic ...what's "full" all of a sudden after so many years of no problems of this nature?

You need to login into the ubb support forums, and see if they can help you clear the session file. The problem is that the ubbt_TOPIC_VIEW table has grown to large, and you need to clear it. Generally each bulletin board software has some php script that runs as a cronjob to fix this. But the support forum should provide some good feedback.

This is a problem with the UBB bulletin board system. As I stated previously, most forum apps have a script that runs as a cron job that clears out the old sessions which grow large over time. This error clearly references that:

Essentially, you need to clear the table ubbt_TOPIC_VIEWS and you will no longer receive this error. It would be better for you to contact UBB support too see what they do to clear this table. At this time, this issue is not with your server or hosting service, it is with your bulletin board application which we unfortunately cannot provide support for.

This is not a problem with the users, it is a problem with the size of the table ubbt_TOPIC_VIEWS.

This table is larger than it's default size, that is why you are getting the 1114 error.

You have to clear this table, in order to stop receiving the error. The UBB forums do not have any information about this error at all?

The table that stores session information in the database is for some reason no longer allowing more information to be posting to it. Since it appears to be an error within the forum software itself, it's not something we will have detailed information about how to fix it. If you can contact UBB support with the specific error message, we'll be happy to check any server configuration or run any server commands they recommend to help out with this problem.

Your info and insight are great, but I have no idea why you keep closing topics that aren't final on both sides yet...

I last mentioned 'ubbt_ONLINE' -- not 'ubbt_TOPIC_VIEWS' -- does that make a difference to your answer? Because while I usually am able to follow along, not everyone is as knowledgeable as support, so patience might help...

Okay, thanks... despite the fact this only has happened tonight out of the blue without any changes to the UBB software whatsoever ( ) ... I'll see what UBB has to say about it.

It's now after 5AM so I'm going to bed -- and I'm quite sure my forums will be down when I wake up. I can't logically see this being a UBB problem, but we'll see...

I can't help but think you guys have imposed some limits on my account since once I was suspended temporarily for resources after years and years... but again, we'll just have to see.

The previous value was "32" and it was changed to "32M" (the 32 by itself normally denotes bytes).
