A couple of questions.

1. We have 25,000 members and when we upgraded from classic (Rick did it) we now have 30 pages of banned members. Some are truly banned but many are "imported ban". What are they and how do I get a rid of them.

2. Why do PM's end up in my forum mailbox.
Hi hardlyabeam,

What time Sunday and how much more for a schoolie? (That last is a very important question these days! Even $20 per session sounds like a lot of money lately, since I've lost one and a half of my jobs!)

I've done a quadrille before and it was absolutely the most fun! How many of you are there?

Answer to Question one:
You can goto CP>Member Management>Advanced Search Options
Select Member is banned? Yes
Select submit at the bottom of the page.
At the bottom of the page you have a action field. Select "Delete"
Then select "All Members or Selected Members?"
Then Choose "All Members in Search"
The select "Perform selected Action"

Question 2? Not sure what you mean.

The problem is that quite a few of the imported bans are real members that are not banned. I have started working through the list but as said earlier there are probably 2,000. Yikes

The second question is that that I think any private message sent to a non functioning emails gets redirected to my forum address or for some reason they are being copied there???

I get a ton of emails from postmaster@mysite.com like this

if you just want to clean out all bans in one click (query)..

just truncate the ubbt_BANNED_USERS table...

there are two other tables you might also do the same to, namely:

ubbt_BANNED_EMAILS
ubbt_BANNED_HOSTS

sql syntax is:
where the XXXXX is USERS, EMAILS, and/or HOSTS

then you can start fresh and save your fingers from being sore from clicking on each individually

you can run those queries from phpMyAdmin or from your ubbthreads Admin Control Panel - Database Tools - SQL command

as for the emails, it sounds like you're recieving "bouncebacks" to emailed notifications... Tat or users are just responding via their email client to emailed private message
