UBB.threads PHP Forum Software Community Forums UBB.threads Version 7/8 Support How do I merge forums?

Hello UBB community.

Our boards at http://www.ironycentral.com/forum/ubbthreads.php have many forums. I would like to merge one forum into another older forum. Has anyone figured out a good path to doing this? How should I go about doing that? Any advice is welcome.

step 1: Move everything from Forum A to Forum B, drop forum A, rename forum B.

You can bulk move topics either through inline moderation, or through the control panel.

Hmmm... that doesn't seem to make sense to me.

Move A to B and drop B would delete everything wouldn't it?

ehr, yes

Drop forum A should be the trick. If a mod could edit my first post in this topic, I am beyond me editperiod and would hate to have this false information to be online forever.

Anyone know how to mass move topics through the CP? I'm running 7.2.2 and can't quite find the option. Thanks.

cp>>Move topics
It is near the bottom in the content management section.
It has been there for quite some time so I assume it is in 7.2

I see it now, thanks a lot.

Time to do some spring cleaning consolidating.
